Between around 2006 and 2008 I was Technical Director, then Director, of a Scottish Enterprise project based out of the Lighthouse in Glasgow called Urban Learning Space. It was a great little organisation with an ambitious and commendable mission statement:a learning lab equipping the people of Scotland with the capabilities to face the challenges of 21st century life.

During its existence ULS conceived of, and managed some fantastic community design projects, one of which was ‘StoryBox’, which focused on Glasgow’s Govan community and provided a digital forum through which creativity could be expressed and opinion shared. I have just found some of the postcard we designed to promote the project – I still think these look good.

The project was developed into an online environment called StoryBox, a digital space where users could share experiences, opinions and memories. You can download ArenA_presentation lighthouse_20070219 which describes the project in a little more detail.
